Holiday Home Tour {2015}

I am so excited to team up with Sarah from Foxy's Domestic Side and Courtney from Sweet Turtle Soup for the 2015 Holiday Home Tour. If you don't have your post ready today no worries the link up will be open through 12/25.

Our Pretty Little Girls

When your tour is ready you can add it to the link-up. Make sure to keep checking back as more homes are added.

Once again this year I didn't photograph everything. Some of the details may be missing, but in reality I am sure you are thanking me ;).

Living Room

The living room is where most of the decoration are. The BIG tree, my mom's nativity our advent candles and countdowns and many other little touches.

Dining Room

The dining room is a lot different this year since we redecorated. I added a card wreath which has filled up since this photo was taken and a few other little touches.

Kitchen

The kitchen has the new addition of a Noel sign and some new Santa mugs this year.

School Room

The school room has a tree of its own, all the Christmas toys and plenty of snow flakes we also display our Christmas art and chalkboard in there too.

Bedrooms

Another new addition is the girls having their own trees.
Emily's tree

The tree in our bedroom.

Marissa's tree (she decorated her own tree skirt).

Porch

The outside lights are pretty sad this year. Russ spent hours getting them all up we had them on for a week and over half of them burnt out #fail. To say we are mad and a bit bummed doesn't quite say it all.

And that is the tour for this year.

Things I'd like to add in the future....
*More sparkle
*Christmas curtains in the main living areas
*Fix the exterior light situation
*Garland on top of the cabinets
*Full size Christmas tree on the front porch.
*Change all the photos on the gallery wall to Christmas photos

Now it's your turn to give your Holiday Home Tour!

Holiday Home Tour Link-Up Announcement {2015}

One of my favorite parts of the Christmas season is the decorating. Putting up the Christmas decorations is something that we look forward to right after we take the Halloween Costumes off. I love Thanksgiving, really I do. But it is just so much better with Christmas decorations and music.

There is just something so magical that Christmas decorations add to a home. So many wonderful memories are remembered when looking at the ornaments, the stockings and my mom's nativity that I always loved as a child. I love having people in our home this time of the year and visiting other homes as well. I enjoy looking around and seeing the way others decorate and what is special to them. Everyone's likes and traditions are different. And if I am being completely honest I am always on the lookout for a good idea I can steal.

It turns out I am not the only one! Myself, Sarah from Foxy's Domestic Side and Courtney from Sweet Turtle Soup are hosting a Holiday Home Tour link up! It's really as simple as it sounds. Take some (or a lot!) pictures of your home decorated for the holiday season, write a blog post and link up with us! The link up opens in two weeks, Monday December 14th, and will stay open through December 24th.

So finish up any projects or decorating, take some pictures, grab our button and be ready to share your holiday home with us.

We hope you will plan to join us!

Holiday Home Tour

I am so excited to team up with Jenny from The Chronicles Of We and Courtney from Sweet Turtle Soup for the first official day of the Holiday Home Tour. If you don't have your post ready today no worries the link up will be open through 12/17. Just grab the button and link up!

Our Pretty Little Girls
If you do have your post ready keep checking back to tour the homes as they are added.

Well let's start the tour shall we?

Living Room

Most of the decorations are concentrated in here. I didn't take pictures of everything (your welcome).

Tree #1 This beauty stands 9 feet tall and is gorgeous.

My mom's nativity set. I loved to look at this set as a child. I feel so lucky to call it mine.

Our Advent "wreath"

Advent calendar tree and book advent basket.

Play Room

Tree #2

One of my favorite parts of Christmas are the special toys that only come out at Christmas time.

Christmas art projects from years past.

Bedroom

Tree #3

Kitchen/Dining

I started the tradition of putting ribbons on the cabinets the first year we moved in. Now they just look so boring the rest of the year.

Every home needs some mistletoe

and a snowflake paper towel holder and ornament cookie jar.

Simple centerpiece

Painting I worked on.

Canvases wrapped as presents.

Outside

Tomato cage trees... they look much better at night.

Night

Nothing beats sitting in the glow of the Christmas lights.

Yard stick star

And that's it.

Things I would like to add:
Two more trees for the girls' rooms. I am thinking 4/5 feet small trees maybe in white and pink.
Tiny skinny trees for the dining room.
More lights outside
More holiday rugs.
More holiday art work
And I have always wanted one of those 5' tall Santa mannequin things. It doesn't even need to talk or move just something to stand by the tree in the front window.

.... and my husband thinks I decorate a lot now, HA!
