Friday Highlights 9.11.15

Hello Friday!

Friday is truly the highlight of my week. First off it is the end of our school week, what's not to be happy about there? Next, I always create a new chalkboard on Fridays. Chalkboard art is a form of therapy for me, I just get lost in the line and the letters. Plus as of today our homeschool coop is back in session! The girls get to play with all of their besties and I get some adult time #winwin. Then we spend our afternoons snuggling, baking, napping or playing. And of course I can't forget the anticipation of the weekend with daddy.

Yup, Fridays are simply the best EVER!

Enough about why I LOVE Fridays.
Here are this weeks Friday picks.

{ONE} Tis The Season To Eat Pumpkin

Anyone else make pumpkin flavored treats until your family is sick of it?
Last year I rode on the pumpkin flavored everything band wagon until I thought Russ was going to fork me. However, along the way I discovered a few treat that we LOVED. Today I want to share a few of those with you.

Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls
The Best Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls - Super soft, fluffy, and topped with a cream cheese glaze! Move over Cinnabon, these are better!!

Pumpkin Sugar Cookies with Maple Frosting

Pumpkin Pancakes

Pumpkin Muffies

All recipes have been tested and approved by adults and children.
Enjoy!

{FOUR} Sams Club

Recently while desperately trying to tighten up the grocery budget I began questioning the theory of bulk shopping. Would it work for our family? Is it worth it? Would I really save any money and justify a membership fee? Then I got super nerdy and put it to the test. I spent a few hours last Friday comparing prices, at our local Sams and Aldi stores.

The answer seems to be yes. In fact I estimate that I would likely more than pay for my membership fee on the savings we make off of yeast and trash bags alone. (I bake A LOT of bread ;) ) I even found this handy, free app to help out with the work.

Here is an example of how much we will save on mozzarella cheese.

Pretty cool right?
So for now I am on a 2 month trial membership, but I definitely see us signing up when this is over.

Do you ever shop in bulk?

{FIVE} Girl Mom Series

I was beyond thrilled to have Michelle from Grammie Time guest post in my Girl Mom series this week.

She shared about her past, ways she wanted to be different and things she wanted to instill in her three girls. I just love Michelle. She is such a blessing and encouragement. If you missed her post be sure to read it here.

If you would like to share your "Girl Mom" story I have a few more openings in November.
You can fill out this survey and I will be in touch.
