Friday Highlights 2.13.15

Happy Friday!

It's Friday and it's almost Valentines Day! This week could be summarized with Valentines, Valentine boxes and heart shaped everything. We have been extra busy preparing for our home school coop pizza party this afternoon. I vividly remember last years party and how exhausted I was when I came home.

Please dear God let me have time for a quick nap today.

ONE} Girl Mom Series

Yesterday I announced my first ever blog post series...

Life as a girl mom is very near and dear to my heart. I love everything about having two little girls to call my own.

I decided to create a series to celebrate mothers and daughters. The series will kick off on February 26th! If you are interested in being featured check out yesterdays post for more details.

{TWO} Run With The Wind

Tomorrow, tomorrow I run with the wind.

Without giving to many details (I have to save those for the race re-cap) tomorrow I participate in a 25K (15.6 mile) relay. My part is 5.2 miles with 2 partners running the same. This is my first ever relay race so I am pretty excited. I am also excited that this race should promise no head winds. Now if only it was going to be a bit warmer.

{THREE} This Weather

For real y'all it is CRAZY. It was sunny and 70 degrees just a few days ago. The weather has been a total roller coaster ride over the past month.

I'm SO over it.

{FOUR} Ikea Trip... Forever Away

Guess who has an Ikea trip planned?!?!

Sure it may be a little over 3 months away but a trip planned is a trip planned. I simply can not wait. It is likely for the best that I have to wait. I probably need ALL of that time to save up some cash and plan out all the things I "need" to purchase.

What are your favorite things to buy there?

{FIVE} Catechisms

This week I had a guest post on Wife Mommy Me.

I shared about a simple tool that we use to teach our girls more about who God is. I was so encouraged by the feedback. It is never to early to start teaching your children.

  5. Good luck on your race. You're going to do great. A pizza party sounds like so much fun. And three months is the perfect amount of time to put together a list and save some cash. I love ikea and their picture frames. You really can't beat $7.99 for an 8x10 frame.

  10. I cannot wait to hear about your race! It sounds like so much fun! I've never done a relay type race, but have always wanted to. I can't wait to hear all about your run!

IKEA - love that place. If you can, go on a weekday. It's so much less stressful. And you'll probably find it easier to buy ALL the things without as many people around. :)

    Have a fabulous Valentine's Day!
