Folgers Flavors #RemixYourCoffee & Giveaway

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Folgers. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

We've all been there. The break room, waiting room, gas station, hotel lobby, place after place and time after time. A cup of coffee sounds great so you walk over to scope out the coffee situation only to be a bit disappointed at the lack of variety and options offered.

You now have to make a choice between boring coffee or none at all...
unless there's something more.

I used to hang my head and sadly walk away frustrated, disappointed, but not anymore. Recently I discovered Folgers Flavors, a concentrated flavor enhancer that comes in a convenient squeeze container.

And just like that, bye-bye boring coffee!

Folgers flavors comes in 4 great flavors: Caramel, Vanilla, Hazelnut and Mocha.
You can use a little or you can use a lot in hot or iced coffee. You can even get creative and mix them together to create your own custom flavored coffee combinations.

You are free to #RemixYourCoffee

One of my favorite parts about Folgers Flavors is that I can take them with me anywhere I go.
Lately I've been keeping this one in my purse so I am always prepared for any and every coffee related emergency. I keep another in my car. Since Folgers Flavors don't need to be refrigerated they are perfect to use at home or when you're on the go, wherever that might be.

Recently YouTube star Mike Tompkins put his own spin on the iconic Folgers jingle and created an a capella Folgers remix mash-up.

Check it out for yourself and get a glimpse at just how easy and fun Folgers Flavors are to use.

Friday Highlights 10.30.15

Happy Halloween Eve!
It's here, it's almost here!

You would have thought it was never going to arrive, at least if you were a 4 year old. My girls have been impatiently waiting for Halloween all week. We finished costumes, had huge last minute wardrobe changes and practiced our "trick or treats". I think I can finally say we are ready for Saturday eve!

Now to trick myself into thinking I hate candy before we have gobs of it lying around the house.

#NaturallyCheesy, Party Perfect Cheese Ball Bites {Recipe}

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #NaturallyCheesy #CollectiveBias

One of my favorite parts about the cooler weather is being with other people. From fall hangouts to holiday parties there is always something to make and somewhere to be. I am always on the look out for recipes to try, new products and as always coupons, especially during the holiday season. Recently I found the Kraft Foods page on Walmart.com, it is the perfect place to find exciting products, inspiration, ideas and savings.

Recently I headed over to my local Wal-Mart to pick up some appetizer ingredients. I love the convenience Wal-Mart brings to my life. Clearly marked aisles, always open, the convenience is impossible to beat. Plus I never know what treasure I might find while I'm there. On that particular day I knew exactly what I wanted, cheese. Not just any cheese either, Kraft Natural Cheese. It was my turn to make snacks for the parent room at our co-op and I had the perfect recipe idea in mind.

I was wanting to make a cheese ball but was looking for something creative, fun and easier to eat and serve than the traditional cheese ball. I decided single serve cheese balls would be the perfect party treat for the upcoming holiday season. They are the perfect serving for one person, look adorable on a plate and with quality ingredients like Kraft Natural Cheese, taste delicious.

Party Perfect Cheese Ball Bites
#NaturallyCheesy

Ingredients:
4 1/2 C. Kraft Sharp Cheddar Natural Cheese, separated
2, 8 oz blocks of cream cheese, softened
8 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled
1/4 C. craisins
1/2 C. sliced green onions
1/4 C. finely chopped parsley
3/4 C. toasted almonds
Pretzels sticks and/or crackers to serve with.

Directions:
1) Mix together the cream cheese, 2 Cups of the Kraft Sharp Cheddar Natural Cheese, bacon, craisins green onions and parsley.

2) Cover bowl and refrigerate at least two-hours or overnight.

3)Using a spoon or small scoop out the cheese mixture into single servings approx 3/4-1" in diameter.

4) Roll the cheese mixture into round balls. I found the mixture was less likely to stick to my hand if I rubbed a little butter on them first.

5) Mix the remaining cheese with the almonds and roll the ball in the mixture to coat. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

This little bit of heaven in a cheesy round form is sure to be a hit.
Be sure to check out more recipes on the Kraft Foods page

What is your favorite cheesy food?

The Guy Behind The Blog {October 2015}

When filling out my blog planner I always write in a few posts that I like to do every month: Currently, Monthly Goals, Photo Challenge Update, Teaching Together and the one that has became my favorite, The Guy Behind The Blog.

I'm not sure if I like it because it's a fun post to read & write or maybe I like to share a glimpse of what life is like with my guy. Most likely the real truth is I enjoy watching him squirm while we have our monthly interrogation session.

Whatever it is, it works.

1// We’re headed into fall, which means cooler temps for most of us…are you a warm weather or cold weather kind of guy?

Quickly answers: "Warm Weather! Who wants to be cold and wear a bunch of stupid clothes?! Winters like prison."

*Important note: I would like to point out that this is the first time his answer has not included a sigh, groan, long pause or grumble.

2// What's the best Halloween costume you've ever worn?

"Pshffttt!" *big sigh*
"Oh yeah, Billy Idol! There you go!"

My thoughts: Little does he know this costume has already made its blog debut earlier in the week. HA! That will teach him to not read my blog ;).

3// What's your favorite Halloween candy?

*Head shaking*
"I guess Resess Peanut Butter Cups. I mean those disgusting marshmallow peanuts and candy corn, Mmmmm!!! That stuff is nasty."

4 // What are your favorite parts of fall (ex: football, the weather, Thanksgiving, etc)?

*Hysterical laughter followed by silence*
Me: I'll take sarcasm if that's all you got.
"The days that it doesn't feel like fall. All fall says to me is get ready to start freezing your butt off soon."

5 // How do you feel about pumpkin spice lattes?

"Pumpkin what?!"
*I repeat the question
"Hmmm?... Pumpkin Spice Lattes. Well, with as much pumpkin stuff as you've been feeding me lately I would probably vomit if I tried to drink one. I want to punch a pumpkin in the face."

My thoughts: Tell us how you really feel Russ! And just for the record I have not been feeding him that much pumpkin lately. He just really isn't a fan, at all. I'm perfectly fine with that too, more for me!

How does your guy feel about the pumpkin madness?!

Linking up with Heavens To Betsy.

Healthy Human

Recently I was invited by Healthy Human to try out some of their products. The level of excitement I had was a little embarrassing. You see, my current water bottle situation consisted of a cup that I received at the hospital when Marissa was born and a cheap water bottle with a straw that I constantly worry isn't very clean #paranoid. I was LONG over due for an upgrade.

Before my package came I went to check out the Healthy Human website and Facebook page, the excitement escalated. I could hardly wait for my package to arrive!

And then it did.

I opened it up and instantly smiled. The neatly packaged box with bright colored paper was perfect.

Then I dug in a little further...
Each box was clearly labeled with information about that particular cup. Boy am I a sucker for attention to detail. From the material it is made from, how long it keeps things cold or hot and even what it is ideal for, the boxes told it all.

But it gets better!
Upon opening the boxes each cup is neatly packaged in it's own reusable bag with washing directions and a Healthy Human sticker. The details and thought that go into this packaging are impressive.

Before I had even tried out the products I was already feeling sold on this company.

Let's talk a bit about reasons why you should choose Healthy Human.

*Rounded corners
*BPA free & stainless caps
*Eco-friendly and recyclable
*18/8 food grade stainless steel
*Vacuum insulation
*Mouth opening
*Sustainable packaging
*Easy care and use

Their website highlights the above points in detail be sure to check it out.

So how do the stack up?

The pints are the fun new glasses that everyone wants to drink out of. They are creative and cheerful, plus they neatly stack for easy put away and since they are stainless they wont break when they get dropped.
Because we know they will.

The tumbler quickly became know as "moms cup"

This cup has impressed me more than I thought a cup ever could. When they say it is insulated, they mean business. I can put ice water in this cup and 8+ hours later there is still ice in my water! It is the perfect cup to use around the house or to grab on the go.

Odds are if you have seen me out and about lately I have been carrying this stein around. It keeps my water cold for up to 24 hour or my coffee hot for 12. It fits in my console, isn't awkward or bulky and is easy to drink out of. Anyone who has ever dumped water down their shirt drinking using a stein can appreciate that.

Healthy Human is all about creating products that you can take anywhere.
I believe they have achieved success.

Inspiring people every where to ditch the one use bottles & cups#takeitwithu

The Ghost of Halloween Past

I'm a total sucker for throwback posts.
Maybe I am sentimental or maybe I am a gluten for punishment.
There is just something about looking back on the past that I love so very, very much.

So that is exactly what we are going to do today as we take a look back on the Halloweens past.

Let's start at the beginning, 2007!
The first Halloween picture of us as a family of 3 would be this (Russ might kill me).
I was about 5.5 weeks pregnant with Marissa here and mum was the word.

2008
Now parents of a 4 month old it was pretty obvious we were excited. We had Halloween outfits and 2 costumes. The mermaid one is my favorite. Her first costume was inspired by her name which happens to mean from the sea.

2009
Our Elmo obsessed silly girl was a ladybug princess.

2010
In 2010 we were expecting a baby sister, Marissa was clearly obsessed with Russ and her facial expressions were always #onpoint.

2011
Yo, this is my sister!
Since they were now clearly a duo I dressed them as a pair, Little Bo Peep and her sheep.

2012
Probably my favorite Halloween so far. Marissa was the prettiest Cinderella ever. I dressed  her then cried all the tears because she looked so beautiful. Emily was a princess too (Marissa's idea). So funny to look back on almost 2 year old Emily with so little hair.

2013
By Halloween 2013 a certain someone was head over heels in love with Minnie Mouse and Marissa jumped on to a different Disney character.

2014
I don't think anyone was surprised when Emily chose to be Minnie Mouse again we changed up the costume with some simple pieces we already had lying around because, hello, she's obsessed. Marissa picked a butterfly so I made these awesome wings from felt.

2015
 ? ? ?

What will 2015 bring?
You'll just have to wait and see.

Don't forget next weeks cookie swap!
