Friday Highlights 2.20.15

Hello Friday!

Friday is finally here and it is a huge weekend at the Newman house. We have big plans to do a whole lot of celebrating and looking ahead at the forecast we just have to hope and pray that it cooperates. Life in the Midwest is such a roller coaster ride when it comes to the weather.

{ONE} 4 Years Old

Our sweet Emily Elizabeth will be turning 4 tomorrow.

To say I can't believe it doesn't seem to say enough. I have so many feeling and emotions about our baby being 4. We have gone through the baby stage, passed completely through toddler years and now we are left with two little kids. Where I always have and still feel very confident that our little family is complete. It just leaves me shaking my head at how quickly the time has passed.

I can't wait to celebrate this Minnie Mouse loving girl.

{TWO} Girl Mom Series

Last week I announced plans for a series celebrating Girl Moms.

Starting in March I will feature at least two guest posts a month on Thursdays.
Posts are open to anyone who has a daughter. You can write about your daughter, what you love about being a girl mom, life as a girl mom, a letter to your daughter, your favorite mother daughter activities. Anything and everything that highlights your life as a mom of a girl(s).

The schedule is quickly filling up but there is always room for more. If you would like to get involved you can fill out this survey and I will get you a date scheduled.

{THREE} I Love...

This week I shared about a simple way that I expressed love for my girls this month.
It involved a little bit of time, construction paper and scissors.
Definitely a new tradition that I see us keeping for years to come.

Sometimes the simple little things say the most.

{FOUR} Run With The Wind

Last weekend was one of my favorite kind of weekends, a race one.

You can check out the details on my race recap post

{FIVE} Mary, Mary

It's here, it's finally here!

My favorite time of the year, garden time.

This past weekend the hubby set up my grow light table and my pepper plants have been planted. Last year was the first year I grew my garden from seed and it has never felt so rewarding.

I simply can not wait for spring and starting my plants gives me hope that spring is definitely coming.

  15. Thank you! I saw that I will be emailing you hopefully today with a date, it might be a little while out but I will get you on the calendar!

Ummmm.... its a stainless steel table that russ built a PVC frame to fit. The light is a just a standard 4 bulb fluorescent light fixture hung by chains. We use lights that are very close to natural light. I order all my seeds from Seeds Now. Love that company. Anything else? If so just ask. I love to talk gardening!!!
