Friday Highlights 4.3.15

Happy Good Friday!

So much to be excited about today. The weekend, Easter festivities, finally having our spring break this week and beautiful weather. 

Plus I can't forget to mention that we only have 5 weeks of school left. 

5 weeks/20 days and summer will begin. 

Glory, hallelujah!

It is a good Friday indeed. 

{ONE} Easter Weekend Plans

The only holiday I love as much as Christmas is Easter. Spring, the celebration of the life, death and resurrection of Christ and so many fun activities. This weekend is going to be packed full of fun. Everything from a 5K to family time. I simply can not wait.

{TWO} April Goals
Goal setting this year has been great for me. Something about writing things down and making them public has really worked for keeping me accountable. Earlier this week I did a recap on my goals from March and set some new ones for the month of April.

{THREE} Bathing Suits
Something happened when I turned the big 30! I no longer felt comfortable in a two piece. Maybe it is because I started feeling like a hypocrite. Why was it okay for me to wear something I wouldn't let my daughters wear. Or maybe I finally realized that even though I am in pretty good shape, post babies things just aren't the same. So two pieces were out but I wasn't ready for frumpy. What's a girl to do?
Cue the swim dress. Not your grandmas swim dress either. 

Orange~ Zig Zag ~ Blue

More modest does not mean more frumpy. I ordered a few bathing suits from Kohls with the intentions of only keeping one. They were originally $86 each on sale for $24.99 plus an extra 20% off and a $10 off coupon. Needless to say I ended up keeping two, the zig zag and the blue.

{FOUR} Spring Break

This week was our LONG awaited spring break. It felt like we were the last ones to have a spring break but boy oh boy was the wait worth it. Monday and Tuesday we had our annual achievement testing during the morning hours. The rest of our break has been spent shopping, movie watching, playing outside and enjoying the amazing weather.

Next week will likely feel like the longest week ever. #truth

{FIVE} Girl Mom Series: Meet Jamie
