Well, we are marking the end of another great week! This week has flown by, but it has been full of fun. The weekend is looking very promising as well.
Here are my 5 for this week!
{ONE} VBS
This girl has had the most amazing week at VBS. She has been saying "I wish I could go everyday" and already asking when she can go back. I am beyond happy that she has had such a good time and super thankful for our dear Anna inviting her and picking her up in the mornings.
{TWO} Alone time with E
With sister spending her mornings at VBS, I have had a lot of one on one time with this little lady. I have learned a couple things. 1) She talks A LOT when she is by herself. 2) She is not nearly as shy and quiet, in large crowds, as her sister.
{THREE} Marissa's 6th!
How is this happening? On Tuesday Marissa turns 6!!! Kleenex please. She has decided to celebrate things a little different this year. We will be having a small family party tomorrow and for her friend celebration she chose to have a friend come to sleepover next week. Her very first slumber party. She and I are both very excited.
{FOUR} This cake
I am making this cake for the family party tomorrow. The nutrition facts say if I cut it into 12 slices it will only be about 738 calories a slice. EEeeekkkkk!!!!
{FIVE} Race Week!
I think I will be waiting to eat my slice of cake until after this.
Tomorrow night is the first of 3 summer night 10K runs. I am excited, and a bit nervous after logging my worst run ever last weekend. You just got to love race day jitters. I am setting the bar pretty reasonable here folk. Anything under 1 hour will make me happy.
What are your weekend plans?
Can't wait to see how the cake turns out...your inspiration is gorgeous! My kids love VBS...ours is in a couple of weeks! Have a wonderful weekend, Beth!
ReplyDeletehahaha, oh man definitely don't tell your party guests that! You might end up with a lot of cake leftover. =)
ReplyDeleteDear Lord those curls!
First slumber party?! ohmygosh that is so exciting. I've been dreaming about that since I found out I was having a girl. Girl slumber parties I know, boys might take a little more getting use too...like I don't think they'd want to paint nails.
Baha ha! I didn't say a word.... and I STILL have tons of cake. But really the 12 slice thing is crazy if anyone could eat that big of a piece of cake they would be an idiot to not realize it had that many calories in it!
DeleteThe curls just kill me, I am both super jealous and super annoying because I just want to play with them.
So, so true. I just love being a girl mom!
Haha the calories in the cake! Impressive!
ReplyDeleteI love the bullet point about Emily talking a lot when she's by herself :)
Isn't it but 12 pieces. C'mon that would be a HUGE chunk on a 3 layer cake. I could easily cut it in 24 pieces and the piece still seems big.
DeleteIt is funny and odd. I NEVER realized how much she talks, until last week.
omg love those curls!!! A sleepover?! ack! I can't wait to do that - so lookkng forward to hearing how it goes! Yay for the races! nighttime race series that sounds like a lot of fun - especially if there's blue moon at the end of all of them! :)
ReplyDeleteI love those crazy curls.
DeleteI KNOW, I am SO excited all over again.
It was a lot of fun. No Blue Moon this one but the last one supposedly there will be!
Hope your run went well!!! Some of my favorite memories when I was a kiddo were at VBS :) :)
ReplyDeleteThe run was AWESOME!
DeleteAaaahhh I hope she is creating memories that will last forever!
Your girls are the absolute cutest!!! Those little curls are so precious!
ReplyDeleteAlso... I don't know about you, but I've been super bummed about missing five on Friday for the summer. If you're interested my friend Karli {september FARM} and I {the farmer's wife} are starting up a link-up "oh hey, friday!" with the exact same outline and would love for you to join us tomorrow! Hope to see you there.
xoxo
