Wouldn't you know the ONE time Emily looks at the camera and gives me a fabulous smile her sister isn't looking. I guess that is just how it goes though.
It was so great to be back at co-op. It definitely feels like school is officially in full swing now
{TWO} Pumpkins, Cobwebs and More
In case you missed it, I made some pallet pumpkins this weekend. Almost a week later and I love them even more than the day I we made them.
This project along with some encouragement from you guys has caused my wheels to start churning. I think there is probably smoke coming out my ears. I have SO many ideas that I would LOVE to try and pull off.
Speaking of fall decor
I mean it's a totally valid point, right?!
Okay, I don't exactly carry this out inside the house. But the front porch.... I just let it go from now until after November 1st.
{THREE} Her First Bible
Russ and I had talked and decided it was time to graduate this little lady from her storybook bible into a "big girl" one. I seriously could have cried. It was such a special, memorable moment. Once again I was left saying "How did she get this big?"
We chose the Children's ESV Bible. It is just like an adult bible but it has some color illustrations in it and a few additional resources.
{FOUR} I Really Want To Knit Something
Let's just say that it is pretty ridiculous but not nearly as bad as some people I know, you know who you are.
I tend to be a seasonal hobbyist Spring and summer I am all about gardening and canning. The fall and winter gives me urges to knit. Maybe I will work on finishing up that sweater that I started last spring...
{FIVE} Halloween Costumes
The time of year is once again here where we start brain storming costume ideas. And by we I mean Marissa and I. Emily has already decided to be Minnie Mouse... again. Almost three years of loving Minnie and she is still going strong.
I will have to re-invent her Minnie costume. I don't want it to be exactly the same as last years. I am thinking a traditional red and white Minnie may due the trick.
As for Marissa, here are some ideas that she has mentioned to me.
A Butterfly
Mermaid
Hello Kitty
A Bunny
Lol! I was Minnie for two years....as an Adult!!!! I totally get it!
ReplyDeleteLol! That is awesome. I keep thinking she is going to outgrow the Minnie Mouse phase but it just keeps going. Oh well, there are way more obnoxious things she could love!
DeleteI was the traditional Minnie...I even have the classic yellow shoes, I'll have to post a picture soon!
DeleteYellow shoes!!! I didn't even think about that, how cute!
DeleteHaha love you ecards- especially the cobweb one! I could say the same! Definitely checking out your pumpkin pallets! Hope ya'll have a fabulous weekend! xoxo

ReplyDeleteConnor is going as Jake. He picked it out of a stack of 6. I'm not exactly overjoyed as it's not very creative BUT he is happy about it so who am I to complain?
ReplyDeleteI purchased a tinkerbell costume in college and still rock it today.. Well not actually today but you get the idea.
ReplyDeleteEmily is the cutest Minnie Mouse ever! love her costume! Callie keeps saying she wants to be a princess and I might have a sofia dress & tiara I was saving for Xmas that I'm thinking of using! for
ReplyDeleteaww Minnie!!! I wonder if Aria will go for that one year. It'll be fun when she has an opinion.
ReplyDeletehaha, exactly! I got Chris to power wash the porch off before I put out my fall wreath. Now it can stay until it's time for christmas lights!
And Oh MAN about the smile pic and it being just Emily. Gosh, ain't it always the way?
The mom meme - nailed it.
