At the beginning of the year I set a goal to take one photo every Sunday. It is now five months later I am still going strong! Last week I finally recapped the month of April and this week I am getting all caught up and posting May.
Let's look back over the first 4 months.
Let's look back over the first 4 months.
2015 really is flying by!
Both of these dresses easily make my favorites list. Marissa's ombre dress from Children's Place and Emily's super cute floral from Gymboree. I just love both of them.
This has been Emily's go to pose with her sister lately. Clinging her arms around her waist.
Love those sweet sisters.
They both asked to wear cheap beads to church and I caught myself starting to say no. I then asked myself why I was saying no and came up with no good reason. So instead, I said go for it! It is always so good for me (and them) when I realize I don't need to be the fun police.
I love that Emily is getting a bit more comfortable around the camera. I just know the day will soon come when taking photos of these girls is a cinch.
Side note I am not sure what they are doing (or looking at) in the bottom picture but it sure is cute!

This week brings a bit of sas and some beautiful smiles. Emily thought she was pretty hilarious this particular morning.
Both of the girls are wearing necklaces that belonged to me when I was a little girl. I love having special things like this around to share with them. Thanks for keeping that stuff mom :).

I simply can not get enough of our pretty little girls.
This photo project has definitely had it's share of tough moments or weeks that they did not want to take another picture but I can already tell I am going to look back on these photos at the end of the year, smile and be ready to start clicking again in 2016.
Happy Sunday friends!

Love all the pictures! Such a fun way to document growth!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Danielle. It has been a blast!
ReplyDeleteThese are so great. The girls are just gorgeous, and I love every dress!!
ReplyDeleteThose the beads may be "cheap" the girls did a really good job coordinating them to match their dresses.
Can't wait to see the collage of pictures when a year has passed!
I love this project of yours! When shutterfly pops up with a free photo book you should put all of them in one! When you are done. Nice on saying yes instead of no! I try to catch myself doing that too. The knee jerk is always no, but sometimes the yes is much better!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Desiree.
ReplyDeleteThey are pretty good at coordinating things, I started training them young while picking out their hair bows ;).
It's going to be so much fun to have a big collage of a full year with lots of tiny photos! I am so glad I have stuck with this.
Me too! It has been so much fun to look back at the photos. That is a pretty fantastic idea too. I will have to watch out for that.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes it is!
They are getting so big! And so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's just plain crazy! Thanks Kelly :).
ReplyDeleteI love that idea! I started a 365 photo challenge and that shit was a ton of work. So I stopped. Because there was no way I was going to be able to handle the project. Maybe I'll start this in 2016. I would love to see the difference like I see in the girls in your photos.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I adore these photos!! It will be so fun to look back on these and how much they grew. :)
ReplyDelete365 would be ROUGH I can see how that would have been a lot to bite off. This one is pretty manageable. Plus on Sunday morning they are both around with their hair fixed so it only takes a couple minutes to snap the photos. You should totally try this in 2016. It seems better than once a month, but not as much work as every day. I will definitely be doing it again!
ReplyDeleteYes! I am so glad I started this project and will definitely be doing it again in 2016!
