Hello Monday!
It would probably be a toss up between Hawaii and London because they were culturally different.
2 // If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
(Scratching beard)
I don't like riding in planes... so it depends on if I have to sit in a plane.
Me: "That kind of just depends on where you go. You could go by boat."
What's the question? Are you going? What about the kids?
Me: "Let's just assume it's a family vacation."
Ummm.... I could drive to Alaska.
I would like to take you outside of the country but not the kids because they wouldn't appreciate it.

3 // Are there any summer traditions that you have or would like to start? (think things like big picnics, summer activities, bonfires, or day trips!)
Summer traditions?!
(Long pause for thinking with lots of big sighs)
I'm not like a tradition kind of person, but it would be nice to go somewhere different every summer. Fireworks are fun or trying to go to a baseball game with the girls.
4 // The 4th of July is coming up…what’s a must-have picnic or BBQ food for you?
Picnic 4th of July food?
I don't care what kind of meat as long as there is Famous Daves BBQ sauce to put on it. Baked beans are pretty American, maybe some baked beans.
5 // Think about your ideal vacation…are you in a cozy cabin, camping in a tent, or hanging in a hotel?
Not a tent. That's a lot of work.
Uh..... Cabin on the beach? Or a hotel, a clean one.

So thankful for my guy.
I like that the hotel has the stipulation of clean. Alaska would be fun! Y'all should drive there.
ReplyDeleteHis short answers crack me up. I'm not a tent person either.
ReplyDeleteI love that he straight up said the girls wouldn't appreciate being out of the country! So true, but so blunt! He has such a cute personality it seems! The five too many comment sounds like something my husband would say.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I like that he said his favorite vacations are Hawaii or London and both involve long plane rides but he hates planes.Guess those must have been EXTRA awesome trips in order for him to forget he went on a plane to go there :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I love when guys answer. It's always so short and to the point. Ask any lady these same questions and you'd totally take up PAGES.
ReplyDeleteI do appreciate Russ' ideal place to vacation. Camping? So.much.work. I'd totally take a cabin by the beach, though!
My husband is with yours- baked beans for the win, ha!
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad he joined in again. This link up has become one of my favorites. I love to read the guys answers and learn a little more about the hubbys of my bloggy friends! Nate is opposite...he'd rather just fly to his destination and spend more time there rather than driving. I love driving and long road trips. :) And Famous Daves! Yum! We love that place, but sadly we do not have one near us.
ReplyDeleteWe had a pretty terrible experience this past year.... if they tell you they are still cleaning your room LONG past check in, be VERY worried lol.
ReplyDeleteThat would be pretty awesome, we totally should. But first Disney :).
Yeah there is NO way Russ would want to do the camping thing. I REALLY want to do a backyard camp out with the girls in the fall.... but I will probably be the only one sleeping out there with them, lol.
ReplyDeleteThat is Russ for you. And I am not sure how cute his personality really is ;). More like a nut, sarcasm, or a handful. Okay I guess it all adds up to some kind of witty, cute combo. Yup, he still doesn't love these interviews but he found the second go around to be much more tolerable.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. Why did I not call him out on that, lol. I think the whole not liking planes thing has happened in his "old age" both of those trips were in his earlier teenage years. The last time we flew was in 2011 and he said never again, lol.
ReplyDeleteYES and she would have like 20 stories and be on a totally different topic by the end lol.
ReplyDeleteYeah he needs to make that happen. I am REALLY wanting some beach time in a bad way. The ocean is calling my name!
Hehe! I guess I need to nail some kind of awesome baked bean recipe. Until this post I had no idea he was such a fan :).
ReplyDeleteMe too & me too!
ReplyDeleteThe last time we flew was in 2011 when we went to Disney and he said never again. I think I would tend to be with Nate as far as just wanting to get there but I do love a good road trip too. We don't have one in Joplin the closest one is about an hour away (not bad). Have you ever looked a Walmart for their sauce? Here you can buy a couple kinds of BBQ and some of their pickle products too. We LOVE the rich and sassy sauce. It is SO good.
Oh he is hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteHe sure thinks he is :P. He is quite a handful :).
ReplyDeleteWe used to go to one about 3.5 hours away when we'd visit our friends, but theirs closed down. So sad! We actually have bought their sauce and their spicy pickles. Their pickles are some of our favorites. Oh yum!!!
ReplyDeleteThat tradition of going somewhere new every summer sounds wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteWe love road trips!! But I like his reasoning for not taking the kids out of the country. I agree, it's definitely best to wait for something like that.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it?! I really hope we can keep that one up.
ReplyDeleteYeah they are way to young for that right now, maybe someday though. I would love to take a road trip across route 66 someday. That would be so fun.
ReplyDeleteLol! I loved reading this. My favorite comment is about the hotel, a clean one. I am with him all the way!
ReplyDeleteWe had a pretty terrible experience last summer, lol. I don't think either of us is over it yet. Clean rooms are a MUST!
