Five On Friday/ Donut Day, Gardens and Rain

Rain rain go away.

I remember being a little girl and a field trip to the zoo got cancelled because of the rain, I was so disappointed. I kind of feel that exact same way today. We were supposed to be on our way to Silver Dollar City today, but were not. With rain, rain and more rain in the forecast it just didn't seem like a good idea. The great part is the girls didn't even know, so at least I am the only one pouting around the house this morning. Well, not the only one the hubby sadly went to work this morning instead of taking the day off as planned.

It better rain today!

Moving on...

Here are my 5 for this week.

{ONE} National Donut Day

I have said before that you don't really need an excuse to eat a donut. But, if your looking for one. Here you go!

{TWO} Garden update

It is growing like CRAZY Check out the newest pics!

Week 1

Week 3

Week 5

{THREE} This group of kids

A friend text me these pictures the other day and my heart melted.

I can't believe how quickly they have grown up. The youngest two were born 2 days apart and now they are huge.... Kleenex please.

{FOUR}Never to late

I love this picture. Such a great reminder that you are never to old to try something new and excel at it.

{FIVE} Splash Pad and Summer fun

We hit up the splash pad for the first time this week. It is a bit small and usually pretty crowded, but it was still fun.

What are your weekend plans?

  2. I didn't get the memo on national donut day until after breakfast so I just took my little one for lunch. Not sure what I was thinking doing it right before nap time. But they were worth it!

    1. Haha, maybe just a tiny bit to small, UGH!!!!! It is hard to not get the "why did the even bother" attitude. There was like 12 kids on it the other day and some of them were a bit crazy lol.

It is nice knowing it is never to late to start something!
