It is a somewhat exciting morning at the Newman house today. We officially wrapped up the end of our first quarter. I am so happy that 1 out of 4 is complete, but we still have 3 more (27 weeks, 108 days, and approx 540 hours left... but who's counting). Although I do feel optimistic that with all of falls distractions and the holidays soon approaching this next quarter will be over before we know it!
Now how about this week Friday Picks.
{ONE} Girls Night, TONIGHT
So excited to be getting in some more girl time this weekend. A night out with friends is going to be awesome.
These cookies are legit guys. I spent almost my entire day yesterday trying not to polish off the last dozen. I think they may just be the perfect fall cookie.
I need to make more, soon.
{THREE} Bass Pro Half Marathon
So I am running a half marathon in 3 weeks and 2 days.
Eeeekkk!!! It still feels like I just finished my first one. I am starting to get a bit nervous. I was feeling completely fine and excited until last week when I had a run that was comparable to an EPIC failure. Seriously, my worst run ever. That definitely gave me a reality check that running isn't always easy. But I know that bad runs just happen. My training this week has been back to normal and I am just about as ready as I am going to be.
{FOUR} What Her Hair Says
Courtney from Shiraz In My Sippy Cup posted this on Facebook the other day and I could not get over how spot on this is.
What do you think girl moms?
{FIVE} Bible Study
This week I started a new Bible study on The Sermon On The Mount. 10 weeks of dissecting and diving into 3 chapters of the bible that are PACKED with so much information. I am really excited about this study.
Jen Wilkin has so many great Bible studies! If you are ever looking for a study check her out!
you & Desiree make me want to run a half marathon again but I have no idea how I'd fit that in right now! Maybe maybe some day... excited for you and your next race! almost taper time!! You'll do awesome! and I totally missed courtneys post about hair - so so so true! Most days? yup messy bun like mine bc she won't sit still!!!
HA the hair thing! I like the one that looks like tinkerbell...and oh hey that is me always. I always just shove my hair up in a messy whatever before I go get Aria...because I cannot change a diaper with my hair down, and then the rest of the day gets started and it is nap time before I remember I have yet to comb my dang hair. I always look so lovely.
Eeek! I'm so excited for your 1/2 coming up! I can't wait to hear how it all goes. You're rocking your training. It's FINALLY going to cool down a bit this week - and we have Grandma coming to town - so I think we're going to have to make those pumpkin cookies! YUM.
You are so incredibly sweet to give me a shout out - thank you!! I'm playing catch up with all my blog reading and this was a nice surprise. Thank you!! And I can't wait to try that cookie recipe because it looks soooooooo yummy!! Have a great weekend!!
