Friday Highlights 6.19.15

Hello Friday!

This week has been rainy, but busy and so very awesome. I can not wait to share all the details with you
.... next week.

Don't you just love a good cliff hanger? I need a little something to make sure you guys keep coming back ;)!

Now let's get down to the usual Friday business.

{ONE}  On The Blog This Week

This week I shared a recipe for The Best Baked Oatmeal Ever. It really is and you really should give it a try, today.

Shared our 2015 Summer Bucket List.

Wished my beautiful daughter Marissa a Happy 7th Birthday! I can't believe this gorgeous girl is ours and 7!!!

{TWO} Happy Fathers Day
Sunday is Fathers Day!

The girls and I are SO blessed to have some amazing, hard working men, Dads, Papa's & Great Grandpas in our lives.

We hope they have an amazing day on Sunday and feel appreciated and loved.

{THREE} Old Navy

why don't I just say thank you?

Anyone else?

Old Navy has been on point lately and it has definitely take an toll on the clothing category of our budget. Which is generally speaking pretty small so I do what I can to stretch it as much as possible.

I picked up this dress for $8

This skirt for $6. It is pretty much the best skirt ever. The length the fit and the fabric are all perfect... so naturally I bought it in black too.

& This tank for $4! Sadly this pattern is out of stock but they have this one that is the same style just a different pattern.

Women's Patterned Chiffon Tanks
Thank you Old Navy for giving me some great new pieces to add to the wardrobe that didn't break the bank.

These are not affiliate links... I am just really happy with my latest purchases :).

{FOUR} Lego Crazy

There once was a little girl who was pretty much out of having a "phase".... and then she discovered Lego's.

I thought that Marissa might just be the perfect age for some Lego's and boy oh boy was I right! She is now completely obsessed. I just adore the Lego Friends collection too. I loved Lego's when I was her age and these are the Lego's I used to dream about. So girly and so fun.

{FIVE} Girl Mom

This week Stephanie from My Not so Little Guy & My Little Punky and Pumpkin Pies guest posted in my 'Girl Mom Series'

I loved her story so much especially this line.

"I never wished I had a sister until I had two daughters"

I have had that exact thought so, so many times.
Be sure to check out her post to read more about her family.

If you're interested in sharing your story about being a girl mom fill out this survey and I will be in touch.

It's so awesome that Legos has made colors that are more attractive for little girls. How fun for your two to be able to build and play. I wish they would have had Lego sets like that when I was little!
    Have a great weekend!

  6. Really with the first line?! Come on! Keep me hanging all weekend!
PS LOVE Old Navy too! All of Mason's clothes are from there (well like 98%) and I've started buying a bunch there too. Their sales are the best!

  7. aww the lego stage! I never hit it myself. And I'm not sure I ever want to step on one. But I think it would be fun if Aria got into it, esp at an age where she can clean it up her dang self.

  8. Isn't it awesome?! I feel the same way. I was always into Legos because of my brother but I would have LOVED these.

    Hope your weekend was awesome!

  10. I used to never be that into Old Navy but lately.... they are getting me into some serious trouble :). A whole room? Sounds like my daughters dream. She is already talking about asking for more for Christmas.

  13. Hehe he! We went on vacation and the hubby is one of "those". He never lets me post anything while we are gone... for the most part.

Their sales are the absolute best! I never used to buy clothes in there but lately it's been one of my best affordable options.

  14. I probably never would have hit it if I didn't have a brother that love them so much. Baha ha! I make them play with Legos at a table. I am NOT stepping on those dang things.

  16. Your summer bucket list is going to provide the chance for so much fun this summer, you know it? Some folks just don't get my obsession but I think you do!

  17. I hope your sweet girl had the best 7th birthday.
She looks so grown in that picture! Pretty little lady!!

  18. Yes it is! I just love summer so much. I can't always say that I felt that way. It used to feel like a prison sentence to the inside of the house with tiny kids but now that we are past the baby stage and into the "kid years" it has been amazingly fun and each year just keeps getting a little better. I totally get your obsession.

  19. Thank you so much, she had a great birthday! That picture kind of breaks my heart. It's like a miniature Sr. picture... I will have to keep taking this photo every year for the next few years :).
