January 2015 Goals

Happy New Year!

If I am being completely honest I would say that I am just not much of a resolution maker. Resolutions always feel like a set up for failure. Did you know that 70-80% of all resolutions that are made get broken. Some studies say as high as over 90% and most of those are probably within the first couple months. With statistics like those, failure seems unavoidable.

Having said all of that I decided that in 2015 I would start monthly goals instead of yearly resolutions. My plan for this year is to post my monthly goals at the beginning of every month and update how I did on the previous months goals. I tend to be a very goal driven person so I think this will help me stay focused and accountable.

Blog-
Continue blogging about 4-5 days a week.

I am excited about the Tuesday Talk link-up starting this week plan to join us every Tuesday in 2015!

Possibly host a giveaway.

Work on my blog more on my time. Either early in the morning, after bed or during the girls 30 minute TV break. Not when I should be spending time with the kids.

Family-
Weekly family game night.

Read to the girls more as a family.

More snuggle time with the girls.

Fitness-
Continue running 3 days a week.

Start half marathon training at the end of January.

Begin cross training more either at home, or at the gym.
No excuses!

Spiritual-
Spend more time praying and studying God's word on my individually.

Homeschool-
Get back on track! Ever since Thanksgiving things have been a little more relaxed. I would like to hit the books pretty hard this month as soon as we return back from Christmas break (January 5th).

I also would like to be more disciplined preparing things for Emily to do while we're working on school.

Random-
Continue to work on my Etsy shop and grow it's Facebook page.

Begin a weekly photo challenge for 2015.

Tell me one goal that you would like to set for January?

    1. I should really try and do that finance meeting one myself. I procrastinate the budget SO often.

  3. I totally agree with your first paragraph. I don't like to make resolutions, I like to make goals. Call me crazy but they are different to me and I feel like goals are more attainable and I would just break resolutions. Excited to share mine next week!

  5. I usually try to have some sort of goal seasonally, or a couple. Until the holidays really. That is too crazy to really focus on much else for me. Love the more family reading and game night. Some of my faves! We read to Aria before bed, which you know...it is always nice to look forward to built in chill time. I think it will be fun when she can participate and read too. Happy New Year!!!

  7. I love this post! Finally one i can relate too. I appreciate peoples resolutions but like you, I'd rather do more short term goals. I like to be able to measure my success in some form. Haha.

  8. These are great! I love the idea of making monthly goals. I'm terrible at following through, so I think a shorter time frame like a month vs a year, might work in my favor :)
