Tuesday Talk: The Man Behind The Blog {June 2015}

Welcome to Tuesday Talk!

We would love to have you link up with us this week.

Becky from BYBMG, Beth from Our Pretty Little Girls, Whitney from Polka-Dotty Place, Elizabeth from All Kinds of Things, Tara from Mrs.Coach Sims, Keri from Living In This Season, Sarah from Abiding In Grace, Lauren from Simply Free , Emily from Morning Motivated Mom, Jessica & Katie from Sweet Little Ones, Mandy from Almond Place, Teressa from Teressa Jane

Boy do I have a treat for you today.

My somewhat shy, man of few words has ever so graciously agreed to do a little interview.

It all started last week when Elizabeth from Chasin' Mason did a link up Q&A about "The Man Behind The Blog" It was the first time I had heard of this link-up. I instantly loved the idea and wanted to join in the fun.

There was just one problem...

Russ isn't exactly a talker. He is definitely a man of few words unless he knows you well, your an easy target, or you catch him on an off day. When I first met the guy I thought he was stuck up. I guess it turns out that shy can be confused for stuck up sometimes. Sorry babe.

He reluctantly agreed to do an interview for this post and I hope you enjoy it because it may never happen again.

1// What is your favorite family tradition?

Russ: "We don't have any."
Me: "Yes we do."
*We then proceed to argue about what can be classified as a family tradition before finally realizing a favorite for both of us*
Russ: "Christmas Eve Service with you and the girls."

2// Who is your male celebrity crush?

Russ: "This is such a dumb question."
Me: "I think I know who it is."
Russ: "Who?"
Me: "Indiana Jones"
Russ: "Dang it! I was thinking Harrison Ford."

3// What song best sums you up?

Russ: "I don't know."
 *A minute passes.*
Russ:"Oh wait, I do know. 'Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd'. It just makes sense."
Russ: "Or wait how about 'It's All About The Benjamins by Puff Daddy' or.... or ummm 'In The Garage by Weezer.'"
*Followed by him laughing*

4// What three things do you think of the most each day?

*Sigh*
Russ: "In no particular order. You three, the car I'm trying to build & remembering that I am a Christian and my relationship with Jesus is more important than the daily grind."

5// What is your most embarrassing memory?

Russ: "I don't know."
Me: "Dig deep."
Russ: "I fell down the hill one time when I was trying to mow it."
Me *hysterical laughter* "Man, I'm sorry I missed that one."
Russ: "I'm sure there are more things like that, but I don't know."

  1. What a cute idea to interview the guy behind the blog!!! I am sure my hubs would have similar answers! I bet it was a lot of fun to talk to him for an interview that would be published. Love it- thanks for sharing!

  3. he fell down the hill with the mower...or the mower stayed? My papa mowed the yard which has a hill to a canal in the back and I was always scared he'd just tumble down with the mower. I think that happened to a neighbor actually. I don't think they got hurt though.
Indiana Jones though good choice! Harrison Ford is pretty awesome.

  4. I am guessing with the mower. We have a REALLY steep hill in front of our house. It is terrible to have to mow. We tried knocking the grade down some when we rebuilt but I think they actually made it worse lol.
He LOVES Indiana Jones, always has too.

PS I miiiiight have laughed when Seth told me his embarrassing story too. And then felt bad. A little. Russ' was pretty good too (assuming he didn't get hurt!)

  6. Aw, love this! I might have to join in on the fun, love the little things he did between questions that you added, really gave me a good mental picture of him sighing at your questions, haha. My husband would probably react the same.

  7. I've never heard of this either, How FUN!! It is amazing when you actually get to pin point a certain question and require an answer out of a man. You did great, and to think you thought he was "stuck up" when you met! Thanks for a peek behind the blog post, I enjoyed my visit! Kim

  8. This is such a fun link up. I am so glad you found it and joined in.

I couldn't help but laugh. I think the only thing he hurt was his pride. I refuse to mow that hill because I am certain I would die, lol.
