They stage the park with so many photo ops, it's a bloggers paradise.
So naturally we tooksome a ton of photos.
So naturally we took
We saw a couple shows.
The kids were all thrilled to go up on stage and it even "snowed" when they sang.
We rode some rides.
And we saw "The Man", Santa, himself. Marissa is COMPLETELY positive that the REAL Santa Claus lives at Silver Dollar City.
She has ALWAYS been very pro Santa.
Emily... not so much.
She suffers from a VERY severe case of P.T.S.D. every time she see's the guy

Post Traumatic Santa Disorder.
Maybe next year.
Then we hopped on board a Christmas train ride.
Now that is an "usie"!
By the time the train ride was over it was very dark and we were able to take in some of the beautiful lights, watch the parade and check out the tree's light show before heading home.
Another fun day at Silver Dollar City. So glad that we were able to go and that we had great friends to share our day with.
Looks like it was a fun time! Love all the lights!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day. Even with the mist and the fog we still had a great time. I am already looking forward to next year :).
Deletelooks likeso much fun! Love the GIANT tree! oh and the one of all four of you with the tree -- 2 photos of all four of you in a week? amazing! and I hear you about Santa! :)
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a BLAST! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteIt is so much fun. Definitely one of the highlights of the Christmas season.
DeleteSeriously what a fabulous day!!!!!!! Such fun memories! Loving that picture op as gingerbread men!! Love PTSD with Santa pics. Sounds like Lily could join in on that fun. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like so much fun!!! If we ever make it to your area SDC is a sure stop for us!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing pics with all those photo opps. And what a great little family outing!!!
ReplyDeleteAll the pretty! I love anything that decorates. Always better when it is decorated. Sounds like so much fun. That is a hike over though at 2 hours, further than Disney for us and I know how much we are not fans of the drive there and back esp after a full day. And, pizza sounds really good. And cocoa. And a big tree...and rides. K, so the whole thing, it sounds good!
ReplyDeleteLove all the oversized decorations! And how fun do those rides look?! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that the trip was discovered through the advent calendar.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Silver Dollar City, but it's pretty obvious our family needs to make a trip during Christmas time (that big tree, the million photo ops - perfection)!!
PTSD that cracked me up. I'm pretty Austin has that. He will not even look at Santa!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had a wonderful visit.
Austin and Emily would totally understand each other then. She will not look at him, he's "scary". It was a great visit, one of our Christmas highlights for sure.
DeleteI want to do this so bad!! I think we probably will next year when Wyatt can pull a little of his own weight. ;) It's about 5 hours from us so it will definitely be a full trip!
