Christmas Countdown Link-Up Week 2

Welcome to week 2 of the Christmas Countdown Link-up. I am back with my co-hosts Danielle from Sundaes and Spaghetti and Kelly from Happily Ever Mock.

I can't believe a week has passed and we're already on week 2. My least favorite part about the Christmas season is definitely that everything just goes so fast. I REALLY just want to slow it all down and really enjoy it as much as possible.

The rules of the link up are easy. Just grab the button and link up with anything Christmas related. Recipes, crafts, family activities, any and all things Christmas!

Our Pretty Little Girls

Week Two

Let's start with Thanksgiving.

My Sister in-law snapped this right before we left Russ' parents house on Thanksgiving. We later joked about why we decided to snap photos right in front of the fridge? Who knows, but a picture is a picture and one with all four of us is pretty rare.

*Side note: I am about 5'10"  Marissa is 6 years old. That kid is definitely not short.

Thanksgiving was full of family time, lots of food and gingerbread house making.

Russ' mom bought the kids gingerbread house/train/village kits. It was a great way to distract them from waiting to eat and later it gave them something to work on.

Emily REALLY wanted to eat the whole house, right there. Thankfully she settled for an extra gingerbread man.

This is her, "what do you mean I can't eat it" face.

Okay I will admit it. I helped a little, or maybe a lot. I just couldn't help myself. They did apply most of the candy.

In other Christmas news, Bob is back just in case you missed that announcement

He decided he wanted to make a gingerbread house to. Bob is one goofy guy. I am just glad he isn't a naughty elf that goes around making messes ;).

But, he did sabotage all of the pictures making everyone look like Rudolph. Everyone except for me that is. He must be quite fond of me *HA! I think I just might leave the red noses on the pictures for a while.

On the first day of December we did our first Christmas art project!

This was a fun Christmas wall hanging kit. Easy, fun and a great distraction while I made dinner.

And that wraps up week two!

The bucket list is still pretty full but with a busy week planned I have a feeling there will be more crossed off next week.

What Christmas fun have you been up to? Grab the button and link up!

  9. Growing up my grandma always had us make Gingerbread houses while we waited for dinner. It is one of my fondest memories. There we so many cousins, and we all were able to decorate our own houses (grandma was smart and had them pre-assembled before we iced/decorated). After everyone was done it was so fun to see how each house was decorated.
